Won is an associate attorney focusing her practice on the areas of commercial litigation and real estate litigation. Won joined the firm in October 2018. Won has represented local small businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation both in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Won served as a law clerk for the Honorable Brian F. Holeman of the District of Columbia Superior Court. She earned her Juris Doctor from Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. While in law school, Won interned for the Honorable John M. Tran of the Fairfax County Circuit Court and the Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
Major Involvements:
Won successfully defended a 5 count lawsuit, alleging landlord of racial discrimination in violation of 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981-82 and tortious interference in connection with an assignment of a lease, which was dismissed on summary judgment. Won was substantially involved with the matter, from handling discovery and depositions to participating in motions. Mamadou et al. v. Cho et al., 1:20-cv-146-AJT-IDD, (E.D. Va., Nov. 6, 2020).
Won secured a judgment in favor of a client for breach of contract claim for repayment of the loan which involved both written and verbal agreements. Bae v. Park, et al. (Fairfax County Circuit Court, CL2018-13673).
Won secured a judgment in favor of client involving an ownership dispute between business partners. Kwon v. Song et al. (Fairfax County Circuit Court, CL2020-2388).
