Sharon is the Managing Partner of Chap Petersen & Associates, PLLC.  She focuses on keeping the employees busy and fed, handles the money, complaints, and compliments, as well as oils the hinges of squeaky doors.

Prior to this venture, she practiced elder law and estate planning for over 10 years before taking time off to care for her family. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA '93) where she always had jobs to pay the bills. In her last year she worked as the Tutoring Coordinator for the entire University and for the National Center for Adult Literacy. She worked for a year in London desktop publishing for Goldman Sachs, but returned stateside to earn her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law. Becoming the intramural soccer champs (go Legal Eagles!) and performing in the Law Revue were fond highlights. She stays active in her church and community by carving out time to write, make music, and perform while helping her four+ children navigate the beginnings of life and her parents navigate the difficulties of aging and disability.

She is an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International where she finds much satisfaction in connecting people and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Sharon serves on the Board of the City of Fairfax Theater Company as outgoing President and current Chair. Her other love is performing with George Mason University's pep band, Doc Nix and the Green Machine.
